1. Lotus Vacuum Cleaner
Our old stick vacuum cleaner was broken, and it’s been laborious without it. So last week we bought a new vacuum cleaner to help us with cleaning. We purchased it in Lazada at a discounted price, and it’s been very helpful. It’s the Lotus Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner LT1828P. We bought it for only ₱2,499.
Since it’s extremely difficult to clean when you’re dealing with your child while working simultaneously, this tool helped my work at home life easier.
Soon, you’ll read a review on the blog about this particular vacuum cleaner. So far, Tee and I are loving it. It’s very useful.
I am less stressed about cleaning, and it’s easier to vacuum all the dust that our house accumulates than the typical broom that I WAS using.
We bought the Lotus Vacuum Cleaner here.
2. YouTube Channel
I created a YouTube channel last week, and I was hoping that I would be able to use this platform to spread motivation and inspiration to work at home moms.
I am yet to upload a video there, but I would really appreciate it if you can subscribe to my channel. Gosh, I never thought I’d say that line. 😂
Btw, here’s the link.
I’ve seen a lot of mom vloggers on YouTube documenting their daily life. I can see that the niche is very saturated.
I wanted to create a platform that would focus on motivating moms and inspiring moms to be the best they can be; despite the hardship, despite the anxiety, the depression, and the loneliness that comes with being a mother. They should hear inspiring words that would make them feel better and make them feel like they can conquer the world.
I needed that. I know someone else does, too.
3. Full-Time Job? No more.
I tried taking on a full-time job as a virtual assistant last week. I managed someone else’s website and did graphic designs — almost everything on the back end of running a blog. But last week was terrible for me.
Unfortunately, the client wants me to work by the hour. Despite the fact that I could work on their blog and finish all the tasks in less than eight hours. Our contract even stated that I’m a service provider and not an employee but they’re recording everything that I do for them and they won’t pay me in full if I don’t work 8 hours a day. Sounds like an employee to me.
So I let it go.
I have decided to focus on my blog and our business more. I will be working on marketing it on social media so I can make it grow, by then, I can have full control of my time.
4. Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine
Our city is back on modified enhanced community quarantine which means that only the person with a quarantine pass can go outside. Therefore, Tee is the only one that can go outside to get groceries and food. Our problem is that he sleeps through the day because he works at night. So as of the moment we’re back on outsourcing our grocery.
Almost every product at home is being purchased online. My son’s diapers, milk, wipes, and any needs are bought from either Lazada or Shopee. We are still using Waltermart delivery as our source for our groceries.
So let’s wear a mask, distance from the crowd and wash our hands, people, okay? Okay.
5. Umbrella Academy
I’m currently watching umbrella Academy and I am so excited for this series. There are tons of twists and surprises. I’m still on episode eight of season one. And I think I’m gonna binge watch the series for the whole week. Okay, not really binge watch, maybe two episodes a day. Tee likes it too. So we watch it on TV, when we’re both working.
So if you’re watching it, please please, please don’t spoil me.
And, that sums up my week.
What are your wins and struggles for this week? Feel free to leave comments below and let’s have a quick chat.
Have a great week everyone.
